The work looks at the themes of mourning and saying goodbye. Two plates are placed next to each other. They're both based on the same basic shape, inspired by lace motifs and based on historical ceramic tableware. One of the plates is upside down and clearly decayed. It's like a final remnant of what has been lost, lying there like it's on an altar.
