Proof of Never-Happened creates false artefacts for things that never happened. It is false evidence, so to speak. The work is part of my PhD research project at Hasselt University and the PXL-MAD School of Arts in Hasselt, Belgium, funded by the Special Research Fund (BOF) of Hasselt University (BOF21DOC04).
Two stereotypical forms were chosen for the realisation: a button as a symbol forcultural memory and a child's ring as a symbol for individual memory. Both are unwearable.
The special thing here is also that the objects are made of 2 types of glass that are not compatible with each other. After an indefinite period of time, they should self-destruct due to the internal tension.
