"Sources of Belonging" explores the simultaneity of different (individual and cultural) memories that can be used to (pre)form our identity. The work is part of my PhD research project at Hasselt University and the PXL-MAD School of Arts, Hasselt (BE), which is funded by the Special Research Fund (BOF) of Hasselt University (BOF21DOC04).
The objects are designed through digital intersections between historical treasures from museum collections (from the Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim, Germany), flea market finds, and personal pieces.
